Here are some PDF's filled with patterns according to: Paul Contos Clifford Brown Ray Brown Eric Dannewitz Garzone should keep you busy for a while And don't forget to render in Bopland once in a while
Wow... How do you ever find such a cool links?? Uh... No more holidays during this year? To prevent availability related issues I duplicate those links as PDF attachments. Many, many thanks, MAN!
If you use PDFtoMusic it could save you some work. (think also about PDFSam to extract certain pages for example) Then you might push the midi file through this midi2xml service, write an XSLT to extract the notes and convert to Bopland notation and your done! (maybe you can as well make use of this and/or that to automate it) Any volunteers for doing a mashup?
Kind of a hobby...it's like needle in haystack Sadly, it actually seems so. That's a good do. Nikita, you take good care!
I'm starting off with a manual processing Ray Brown Patterns | Dm7 d- f a c G7 b a g f | Cmaj e g b d c a r4 | With slight modification it can also be played on turnarounds BTW: | Dm7 d- f a c G7 b a g f | Cmaj e g b d A7 c# a r4 | | Dm7 d a a# b~ G7 b a g f | Cmaj [e g b] d c | Dm7 d e d g G7 r e4 d8 | Cmaj b c d a | Dm7 c a f b~ G7 b4 g8 a | Cmaj b g e a | Dm7 g+ gb f a G7 e d b a | Cmaj g e d e I'm wondering if this particular lick transcription is correct?? I would expect something like this | Dm7 g+ gb f a G7 e eb d c | Cmaj b g e g for the last example... Is something known about the record?
Probably still the best approach since there are only 2 or 3 patterns /page. Sounds good to me...it makes a proper statement. Ray Brown Patterns Page 4 | Dm7 g a b c G7 c# d4 g-8~ | Cmaj g4 a8 e r2 | Dm7 g+ f c a G7 ab4 f+8 e | Cmaj e b d g- r2
