New: Help thread
|
|
It were just an ordinary forum if not the two things.
First, it directs the posts and threads you are interested in into your home folder making it extremely quick and easy to share the info. Second, it is possible to post scores with online playback feature which makes it very useful for those looking for free sheet music.
Here's an example:
<lick>
4/4 g#8 | A7 a c# e g bb c16 bb a8 g | Dm7 f d a g f d a b~ | Dm7 b4 r r2 |
</lick>
This lick was generated with a code snippet available after clicking 'show source' link bottom right to the image. A good place to start living with this notation is bopland.org manual:
http://bopland.org/bopland-format.html#a...Here's another example in bass clef taken from bopland database:
<walking_line>
4/4 | Cm7 c4 g+ c gb | F7 f g g# a | Bbmaj bb c c# d
| Ebmaj eb eb- d db | Am7-5 c eb a g | D7 f# d a ab
| Gm7 g8 d+ f g~ g4. a#8 | G7 b g~ g f~ f4 d |
</walking_line>
How about piano voicings? Here's Autumn Leaves bridge sample:
<piano>
| Am7/D | Ebmaj/D | Cm7/F | F7 | E7 Eb7 | D7 Db7 |
{
| ( c1 e g a) | (d eb g bb) | (eb g bb c)
| (ab2 db f) ( gb cb eb) | (g bb d) (f# a c#)
| (f ab c) (e g b) |
}
{
| d1 | d | f
| (f a eb+) | (e2 g# d+) (eb g db+)
| (d f# c+) (db f b) |
}
</piano>
Guitar tabs are also available, but one has to know the standard notation to use it. Here's an example:
<guitar>
4/4 | Cm7 | Am7-5'' D7'' | Gm7 | Em7-5'' A7'' | Dm7 |
{
| r8 ( g+:4 bb eb ) r4 r2 | r8 ( g c eb ) r4 r2
| r8 ( f bb d ) r4 r2 | r8 ( bb d g ) r4 r8 ( g c# f ) r4
| r1 |
}
{
| c4:5 bb:6 g g# | a eb+:5 d ab:6 | g a bb f+:5
| e bb:6 a c#:5 | d r r2 |
}
</guitar>
Lots of additional examples can be picked up at bopland.org
http://bopland.org/find-lick.html?quest_... The only thing to remember is to include source within tags.
OK but how does all that stuff come to my home folder?
First you have to become a registered user and login into your account. Then, to get the system work navigate to *Settings* page available from top menu and select *Forums* submenu. There you can select tags you'd like to follow which correspond to the topics you will get into your home folder.
