New: Impro-Visor
Hello,

I'm new to the Bopland fora, recently having received an invitation from a Bopland developer. I teach computer science and, "on the side", jazz improvisation.

We have a software project known as Impro-Visor that might be of interest. It is free and downloadable (see http://www.impro-visor.com ).

One of the things of interest to me is that the markup notation for licks used by Bopland is quite close to the melody notation used by Impro-Visor. It is pretty easy to hand-translate from one to the other, although it might be nice to have some automation for the purpose, or perhaps identify a common intersection that can be used for both tools.

I'd be happy to answer any questions about Impro-Visor or take suggestions.

Regards,

Bob Keller
